  • This is a beautifully photographed and printed book. Although I live in the American Southwest in the high desert, I found it very interesting because I have been creating my gardens in a natural informal design similar to most of the gardens portrayed in this book. The downfall is that for gardeners like me there are no plant listings so I could research the specific plants portrayed and determine whether they might even work in my more challenging high desert environment. So, a beautiful book to look at the images and get the feeling of various garden designs, but not very useful if you want to try to find a specific plant that is shown.
  • Talented photographer creating a portfolio of talented gardener designers around the world. I have more garden photography books than I can count. But this one is memorable not only because of the wonderful gardens depicted in it, but also because of the quality printing of Ms. Takacs' beautiful photographs. Really a lovely book.
  • Really excited about this book and looks amazing, but the top left corner was bent and squished in when it arrived. As a book I’d like to display and have sitting out, this is very disappointing.
  • I am very pleased - and shocked that I am the first to comment since the book has been out for a month now. This is a large collection of images, gardens and people (no images of people, but the book includes short histories of how they shaped their gardens). Ms. Takacs provides some lovely views. As someone who loves to photograph plants and landscapes, I especially enjoy the details she shares about her photographic shoots and challenges. I certainly appreciate the efforts she took to capture each garden in the most flattering light. I accidentally (just now) knocked the book from my table. It fell to the floor and I've dented the cover. The corners were dented when it arrived and the back cover is separating from the spine.

  • The photo print colors are overall very dark. I am not sure why prints turned out that way. I was very dissapointed by the print quality. Original photos would have been beautiful.
  • Great pictures.
  • Love gardens
